HAAG was founded in 1992 by Henrique Abecasis and António Andresen Guimarães.

It is an independent law firm, which practices in all areas of the law, in Portugal and abroad.

The Firm's lawyers are able to provide services in English, Italian, French and Spanish.

Although the internationalisation of HAAG was initially merely a positioning strategy that targeted the external market and which sought to create favourable conditions for the provision of professional services to foreign Clients, as a means to widen HAAG's overall market, internationalisation is now a core specialization that accompanies market globalisation.

We at HAAG view the practice of Law as an eminently ethical profession.

The form of legal practice we have chosen is based on total independence, the absolute primacy of our clients' interests, solid legal skills and experience.

We stress a personal relationship with our clients and representation of them that is not limited to a mere provision of legal services, but includes the overall consideration of all aspects of each client's interests, with a view to the provision of detailed global advice.
